RAYMOND, NH: (August 18, 2017) Yesterday evening Raymond Police Detectives, and the NH Liquor Enforcement Agents conducted 20 alcohol compliance checks of local stores and restaurants in Raymond who hold liquor licenses. Out of the 20 establishments, two failed to check the underage buyer’s licenses properly and sold alcohol to them. In these cases, the clerks were issued court summons and moving forward the clerks and establishments will receive additional training on preventing underage buyers.
It is the goal of the Raymond Police Department to ensure identifications are being properly checked. The safety of our youth in the community is a top priority.
We do wish to underscore the 18 establishments and clerks who correctly checked the identification and refused the sale. Collectively we all share the same goal of ensuring the safety of our youth and reducing the availability and consumption of alcohol by minors.
