RAYMOND, NH (February 11, 2017)- Peaceful resolution to a suicidal subject with a knife.
On todays date at about 11:38 AM Raymond Officers responded to a residence on Welch Lane in regards to a 58 year old male who was in a suicidal state and in possession of a knife.The call was made by the subjects wife who was able to exit the home without injury.
The male subject initially refused the officers commands to exit the residence in a safe manner. A short stand off began and officers started to evacuate neighbors for their safety. At about 1:14 PM the subject surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.
The Raymond Police Department was assisted in this incident by New Hampshire State Police, Fremont Police, as well as Raymond Ambulance. The Southern New Hampshire Special Operations Unit was activated but was cancelled prior to their arrival.There were no injuries as a result of this incident and the involved subject was taken the hospital for evaluation.
