RAYMOND, NH (December 16,2016): Raymond Police deployed NARCAN at a recent overdose call.
On December 16, 2016 at about 4:49 AM officers responded to Chester Road for a report of a car off the road. Arriving officers located the vehicle off the roadway and observed an unresponsive male subject slouched over in the driver’s seat. Officers gained entry into the vehicle by breaking a window, removed the male subject and began chest compression’s and deployed NARCAN in an attempt to revive him.
Shortly after deploying the NARCAN the subject regained consciousness and was transported to the Exeter Hospital. The person was subsequently charged with Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and is scheduled to appear at the Candia Circuit Court on February 6, 2017 for arraignment.
In an effort to preserve lives and reduce overdose related deaths all officers of the Raymond Police Department are trained and certified in the administering of Narcan. Each officer carries it with them while on patrol.
